Position Overview As a Clinical Dietitian, you will deliver safe and effective evidence-based nutritional therapy that aligns with the standards of practice set forth by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. You will collaborate with the healthcare team and other nutrition professionals to manage individual nutrition care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of individual nutritional needs through interviews, dietary histories, medical records, and interdisciplinary discussions.
- Formulate tailored nutrition plans that include dietary recommendations, meal patterns, and nutritional supplements.
- Work with the healthcare team to establish care goals for patients and residents.
- Coordinate the implementation of specialized dietary regimens.
- Document initial assessments and care plans in compliance with established standards.
- Evaluate and monitor the nutritional status of individuals, providing recommendations for optimal care.
- Educate individuals, families, and caregivers on nutrition and therapeutic diets, considering their educational, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Facilitate group nutrition classes in various topics as appropriate.
- Engage in or lead research related to food and nutrition outcomes, contributing to policy development for diverse populations.
- Advocate for individuals and groups regarding nutrition-related issues, food security, and wellness resources.
- Participate in the design and implementation of educational programs for dietetic interns and students.
- Serve as a mentor for dietetic interns and staff, providing guidance and support.
- Manage human resource functions related to training and scheduling.
- Enhance public access to Registered Dietitians through effective referral processes.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of referral tools.
- Implement quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to document service outcomes and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Participate in action plans as necessary.
- Compile statistics and complete productivity reports in a timely manner.
- Utilize electronic information management tools for practice and research.
- Create and review patient education materials and menu items.
Work is primarily conducted in a clinical setting. You will be responsible for fulfilling all job-specific obligations and adhering to organizational policies and procedures. The outlined responsibilities are essential for successful job performance.

QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's Degree (Required)
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience (Preferred)
Certifications: Basic Life Support Instructor within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA); Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist within 4 months - Default Issuing Body.
