Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst - Decision Support to join our team at Trinity Health. This role will be responsible for performing daily, monthly, and quarterly Decision Support System (DSS) and cost accounting applications, including implementation, installation, maintenance, processing, and reconciliation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining and reviewing cost accounting processes within the DSS, following established audit and review procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all cost and net patient revenue data within the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly DSS and cost accounting applications, including implementation, installation, maintenance, processing, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain and review cost accounting processes within the DSS, following established audit and review procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all cost and net patient revenue data within the system.
  • Produce quarterly profit/loss reports for distribution to ministries.
  • Monitor and coordinate updates of remaps and allocations.
  • Annually review, remap, and allocate with operational leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in business administration, finance/accounting, or other healthcare-related area of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of experience in healthcare cost accounting/decision support, managed care, reimbursement, patient accounting, financial operations, or information services.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with use and implementation of cost accounting systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare nomenclature, business processes, and clinical functions.
  • Excel experience preferred.

Maintains a Working Knowledge

We maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program, and Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures, and guidelines in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects safe, honest, ethical, and professional behavior and safe work practices.

Physical and Mental Requirements and Working Conditions

We work in a rare clinical/patient-facing work environment. We include continuous work time indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled and well-lit conditions; may encounter occasional variable external environmental conditions. We include occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel, and use of computer; includes continuous sitting and may require rare long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing.
