Job Summary

The Retail Associate plays a vital role in assisting the store management team in achieving operational goals by performing various tasks within the retail location. This dynamic role involves learning and working in different capacities, including Cashier, Textiles or Wares Producer, Donation Door Attendant, eCommerce Producer, e-Books Producer, and Rack or Cart Runner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with purchases and provide information about Goodwill programs.
  • Sort and process donations, maintaining a clean and organized donation area.
  • Operate cash registers, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain a balanced drawer.
  • Produce high-quality textiles and wares, adhering to Goodwill's pricing standards.
  • Load and unload trucks, use heavy equipment, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Develop a keen eye for identifying valuable items for ClickGoodwill and stay informed about market values.
  • Manage totes, palletize, wrap, and ship items to ClickGoodwill, meeting store quotas.
  • Scan books, decide which items to send to ClickGoodwill or display in-store, and maintain a clean and organized sales floor.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to moderate noise and temperature variations.
  • Physical stamina to spend time standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching, with the ability to lift 10-50 pounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to relate to customers in an impartial and effective manner.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to pursue quality in accomplishing tasks and maintain safety awareness.
  • Basic computer and Internet navigation skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
