Job Description
We are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year in the Cumming, GA area. This is a contract position, offering flexible full-time or part-time hours, and onsite work only. The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ year of experience and be comfortable assisting with student evaluations and related duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for K-12 students to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to assess student needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to their unique requirements.
- Provide recommendations for student accommodations and interventions to ensure academic success and emotional well-being.
- Deliver counseling and crisis intervention services as needed, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings and other relevant school team meetings to stay informed about student progress and implement effective strategies.
- Work closely with school administration to design and implement school-wide mental health initiatives that promote a culture of wellness and resilience.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and evaluations, ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be licensed through GAPSC (Georgia Professional Standards Commission) as a School Psychologist for K-12.
- 1+ year of experience in a school setting, preferably with a focus on psychological assessments and student evaluations.
- Ability to work onsite (no remote options) and maintain confidentiality in sensitive situations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
