Typical Responsibilities of an Aircraft Mechanic

As an Aircraft Mechanic, your primary duties will include conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing necessary repairs. Success in this role requires a commitment to teamwork, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and develop your skills on the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the company's core values through actions and communication, supporting the mission to be the most trusted leak detection service for customers.
  • Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Document maintenance activities accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and FAA regulations.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
  • Perform general upkeep of the facility.
  • Ensure aircraft and equipment are kept clean and presentable.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Assist with the refueling, parking, and securing of aircraft.
  • Collaborate with more experienced mechanics or supervisors as required.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Valid A & P Certificates.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs consistently, perform repetitive motions, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with mechanical tasks and techniques.
  • Willingness to work on holidays and weekends.
  • A commitment to a minimum of one year in the position is required.
