Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive and review repair orders from the service dispatcher.
2. Execute repairs and maintenance tasks as detailed in the repair order, ensuring adherence to dealership and manufacturer standards.
3. Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and implement effective repairs.
4. Collaborate with the parts department to procure necessary components.
5. Preserve and label parts for warranty jobs or customer requests.
6. Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
7. Communicate promptly with service advisors regarding any changes in repair requirements or timelines.
8. Document all work performed accurately.
9. Conduct road tests when necessary, ensuring customer vehicles are not used for personal errands.
10. Mentor and supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
11. Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions to enhance skills.
12. Stay updated on factory technical bulletins and guidelines.
13. Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles and the workshop environment.
14. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
15. Adhere to company safety policies and report any incidents to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- High Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) is essential.
- ASE certification or equivalent training is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Authorization to work in the USA is required.
- Ability to perform duties safely and effectively.
- Candidates must successfully pass pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug tests.
