Position Summary:
We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Technical Maintenance Mechanic. This role is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and systems utilized in food production. The successful candidate will report directly to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of various machinery, including Vertical Form Filling machines (VFF), Pouch Filling Machines, Cappers, Labelers, and Pneumatic Systems.
  • Conduct installation and maintenance of equipment to uphold hygiene standards and comply with SQF regulations.
  • Collaborate with fellow maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and repair additional machinery, including dust collection and pneumatic systems.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates holding a two-year post-secondary education in a related field or industry certification in HVAC, PLC Programming, or Electronics. A minimum of three years of documented experience in maintenance or as an industry journeyman is essential.

Physical Requirements:
This role demands physical stamina, including prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting over 75 lbs regularly. Candidates must be able to interpret technical drawings and diagrams and be certified for respiratory protection. Adherence to OSHA regulations is mandatory, and preference will be given to those with OSHA 10 or 30-hour certifications.

Work Environment:
Regular exposure to manufacturing settings is expected, where personal protective equipment is required. The position involves working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with machinery operating at high voltages and pressures. Safety and attention to detail are paramount.
