Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plumbing Systems Specialist to join our team at Harper Limbach LLC. As a key member of our plumbing operations team, you will be responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining plumbing systems and related equipment for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plumbing System Installation: Assemble pipe sections, tubings, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and/or welding equipment.
  • Leak Detection and Repair: Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water/air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Review blueprints and specifications to determine work details and procedures.
  • Site Preparation and Setup: Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, penetrations, and fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers and levels.
  • Plumbing System Maintenance: Inspect equipment, structures, and materials to identify the cause of errors, safety hazards, or other issues, and solutions or escalate them appropriately.
  • Team Leadership and Training: Facilitate knowledge transfer and teach trade skills to less experienced tradespeople.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Review blueprints and specifications to determine work sequence and effectiveness.
  • Safety and Compliance: Understand safety procedures and keep the crew following the rules.
  • Equipment and Tool Management: Ensure all crew members have the required tools/equipment to perform their job duties.
  • Project Scheduling and Coordination: Collaborate with foreman on scheduling experience and proficiency.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduation from high school, vocational school, or training equivalent, and 5-8 years of mechanical contracting experience.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and oral instructions under limited supervision, and general knowledge of the hazards of the trade and necessary precautionary measures.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Capacity to leverage leadership skills to facilitate learning, teamwork, and collaborative relationships, and ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) with diverse audiences.
  • Certifications and Training: Valid Driver's License, and preferred qualifications include Rigging and Signaling Certification, Forklift Certification, Aerial and Scissor Lift Certification, Completed OSHA 30-Hour Training, and Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
Work Environment

This position operates primarily in the field, and jobsite work is likely to entail varying exposure to weather, potentially harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, noise, dangerous machinery, and/or other conditions typically associated with a live construction site.
