Key Responsibilities of the Golf Shop Sales Associate:

  • Assist members and guests in selecting merchandise.
  • Help in organizing golf shop inventory.
  • Support golf professionals in regularly updating retail displays.
  • Assist in managing stock levels with golf professionals.
  • Schedule tee times in accordance with club regulations.
  • Stay informed on relevant information to assist golfers during check-in.
  • Handle incoming calls at the golf shop.
  • Check-in golfers and process fees.
  • Operate the cash register efficiently.
  • Wrap gifts for customers as needed.
  • Stay updated on upcoming events, including golf tournaments.
  • Assist in organizing special events alongside golf professionals and tournament coordinators.
  • Maintain a clean and organized golf shop environment.
  • Support Golf Professionals in their daily operations.
  • Set up and maintain the coffee station on a daily basis.
  • Communicate regularly with the shop for the latest updates.
Qualifications for the Golf Retail Assistant:
  • Previous experience in retail is preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to engage with the public in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Familiarity with golf is beneficial.
  • Able to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting at least 30 lbs.
  • Flexible availability as Golf Operations run 6-7 days a week, with potential for overtime.
  • Adherence to company safety and training protocols in all job tasks.
  • Promptly report any safety concerns or hazards to management.
  • Inform management of any work-related injuries.
  • Prioritize safety measures on a daily basis.
Physical Requirements for the Merchandise Coordinator:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to move around different areas on campus using approved methods.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
