Insurance Underwriter

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Insurance Underwriter to join our team at Cincinnati Insurance Company, Inc. As an Insurance Underwriter, you will play a critical role in supporting our field marketing reps by underwriting smaller new business policies.

• Analyze and underwrite new commercial business within stipulated authority
• Ensure adequate pricing through proper classification, predictive modeling, and adherence to company underwriting standards and philosophy
• Communicate directly with agencies to gather information
• Provide service to agents and underwriters, applying discretion to escalate when applicable
• Research and gather information about coverage questions, state issues, and workflows
• Meet department service level agreements for new business issuance and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
• Solve problems for internal and external customers

• Sound, logical decision-making skills
• Knowledge of Commercial Lines systems
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with team members and agents
