We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Parkland Medical Center. As an Oncology Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians in performing nurse procedures for the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including medical histories, lab and diagnostic requests, and treatment plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by physicians or non-physician providers.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on cancer treatment options and side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Manage medical records and maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Licensure by State of NH as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an approved RN program.
- Current AHA or ARC BCLS certification.
- Experience in an MD office or oncology setting preferred.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical records.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
