At Youth Opportunities Upheld, Inc. (Y.O.U., Inc.), an affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation, we're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team. As a Residential Counselor, you'll play a vital role in supporting the growth and well-being of our youth, providing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters positive relationships and promotes healthy development.
Key Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide support with personal care needs.
- Foster growth and well-being through positive interactions, encouraging independence and self-esteem.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of residents are met.
- Document care attentively and confidentially, maintaining accurate records of resident progress.
- Intervene with compassion in crisis situations, providing de-escalation techniques and support as needed.
- Experience working with youth is required, with a focus on behavioral health and residential settings.
- Must be able to perform physical aspects of the job, including active client engagement and physical management interventions.
- A valid MA driver's license is required, with a reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Must be at least 21 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent.
