About the Role:
As a Refrigeration Systems Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our ammonia refrigeration systems. Your expertise will ensure high equipment availability rates through preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on ammonia refrigeration equipment, including evaporators, compressors, and piping systems.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians to troubleshoot equipment failures and implement solutions.
- Participate in Target's Process Safety Management program (PSM).
- Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical components of refrigeration systems.
- Perform technical training for other maintenance technicians, sharing your knowledge and skills.
- Utilize handheld devices and asset management systems to document work orders and maintenance activities.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform regular bending, lifting, and reaching tasks.
- Capability to ascend and descend ladders and work at heights safely.
- Frequent movement around the facility for extended periods.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 49 pounds.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in using mobile applications and understanding electrical schematics.
- Experience with preventive maintenance in ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and industrial electrical systems.
- Technical or community college degree or relevant certifications in mechanical or electrical fields is preferred.
