IT Officer

Job Summary:

The University of New Mexico is seeking a highly skilled IT Officer to join its team. As an IT Officer, you will play a crucial role in coordinating the management and development of IT services for various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop IT services for departments, ensuring they meet the needs and priorities of clients.
• Work with IT resources to ensure specialized systems and solutions are managed effectively.
• Manage IT employees, provide insight into IT investment priorities, and serve on department and UNM technology committees.
• Help ensure the adoption of campus-wide systems and solutions that are effective, efficient, and add value to departmental operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Experience working with multiple teams from different areas on programs and projects.
• Experience managing systems and services found in units such as Institutional Support Services, Athletics, and UNM PD.
• Ability to communicate complex information to managers and leadership, skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities, and strategic planning and advanced leadership skills.
