Key Responsibilities

The Endo GI Technician will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

  • Preparing and sterilizing operating rooms and equipment prior to and following procedures.
  • Assisting physicians and registered nurses during medical procedures as required.
  • Conducting safety checks and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
  • Maintaining and performing repairs on endoscopic instruments.
  • Collecting and transporting specimens while ensuring sterility is maintained.
  • Assisting with patient intake, transport, and documentation of physician observations.
  • Applying monitoring devices for vital signs, such as blood pressure cuffs and pulse oximeters.
  • Providing information on equipment during training sessions.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development through in-service training.
  • Completing additional related tasks as assigned.
