Meat Cutter

We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Family Fare. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing various types of meats to meet the needs of our customers.

• Cut and trim meats to meet customer specifications
• Prepare value-added products such as steaks, chops, and sausages
• Operate department scales and price products accurately
• Rotate and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays to ensure a visually appealing store environment
• Notify management of product and supply needs
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise
• Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling techniques
• Maintain a clean and organized department
• Follow all safety and food safety guidelines

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of retail or related experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents
• Basic mathematical skills
• Suggestive selling and product knowledge
• Detail-oriented

The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate may be required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
