Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at District 19 Community Services Board. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with mental disabilities and substance abuse disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medication and provide supportive counseling to patients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current State of Virginia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • CPR certification
  • Valid VA Driver's License with a point balance of -6 or higher
  • Ability to tolerate light lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of work experience in an inpatient or outpatient psychiatric setting
  • Experience in electronic health records systems
  • Phlebotomy certification
