Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience, ideally within a camp setting.
  • Experience in hospitality or ministry sectors may also be considered.
  • Proven track record in multi-site management and operational oversight.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in facility operations, logistics, customer service, hospitality, and food service.
  • Proficient in various office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic skills in internet usage and social media platforms.
  • Strong ability to manage staff effectively, including selection, development, coaching, motivation, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Experience in hiring, training, and inspiring team members.
  • Ability to engage positively and sensitively with a diverse range of individuals, including guests, colleagues, and board members.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on team unity and motivation towards a shared mission.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Capability to plan, manage, and report on budgets efficiently.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Ability to provide strategic planning and facilitate necessary meetings.
  • Proficient in preparing moderately complex reports.
  • Independent thinking and initiative are essential.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations and make timely, effective decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate the vision of the organization to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Physical capability to lift and move objects as required.
  • Commitment to Christian principles and teachings, both professionally and personally.
  • Must support the organization's doctrinal statement.
  • Annual background checks and reviews of child safety practices are mandatory.

Responsibilities:

  • Frequent travel is required, particularly during the initial months.
  • This role is vital to the organization's ministry and directly supports its mission.
  • Streamline and centralize operational functions across all locations to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Encourage collaboration among various locations and disciplines.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all sites.
  • Lead teams to deliver the organization's experience in a manner that fosters brand loyalty.
  • Implement best practices to ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and introduce process improvements as needed.
  • Oversee operating and capital budgets for assigned locations.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the organization's vision and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with employee policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Manage budgets for operational departments and capital expenditures.
  • Work primarily in an office environment with occasional outdoor work at various locations.
  • Ability to travel to different locations, including overnight stays as necessary.
  • Serve on an interim basis at camp locations in the absence of a Camp Director.
