Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Elective Orthopedics department.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our 24-bed unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in med-surg or progressive care and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
