Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Technologist in our Electrophysiology Lab, you will be responsible for providing care to patients through the therapeutic application of your skills, the nursing process, and collaboration with other healthcare professionals. Your contributions will significantly impact our patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
The Electrophysiology Technologist will assist in all procedures conducted in the Electrophysiology Lab. This role requires a deep understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic technologies to ensure safe patient care.
The Technologist will demonstrate expertise in radiological equipment, safety protocols, imaging techniques, and troubleshooting various technologies used in the Electrophysiology Lab. You will also engage in unit-based activities that foster a positive and professional work environment.
The role necessitates the ability to perform all functions, excluding nursing duties, with essential information communicated through documentation and verbal exchanges.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited cardiovascular technology program.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
• Valid ARRT or RCIS credentials are mandatory; if not RCIS, RCES, eligibility for credentialing examination must be established within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a Cath Lab, performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
