About the Role

Pike Corporation seeks a skilled Pipeline Construction Specialist to join its Gas Services team. This role is a great opportunity for an individual with experience in natural gas infrastructure construction, maintenance, and repair.

Job Description

This position involves working on various projects related to the construction, maintenance, replacement, and repair of natural gas distribution infrastructure. As a Pipeline Construction Specialist, you will work closely with the team to ensure that all projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform new construction, maintenance, replacement, or repair work as it relates to natural gas polyethylene piping
  • Install and connect polyethylene pipes using fusion equipment and pipefitting procedures
  • Inspect and test piping systems for leaks
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in proper working order
  • Work in trenches and bell holes, frequently in inclement weather
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have limited field experience in natural gas and a valid driver's license. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is strongly preferred. You should also be able to lift over 50 pounds, work overtime when requested, and be willing to travel long distances on short notice.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, talking, hearing, handling objects, and reaching with hands and arms. You may be exposed to dirt, fumes, or airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment, and vibration.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
