Join Chambers Group, Inc., an employee-owned environmental consulting firm in Southern California.

We are seeking an Environmental Planning Specialist to lead fieldwork, analyze finds, and prepare documentation for cultural resource projects.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of local experience in Southern California and a Master's degree in Archaeology/Historic Preservation or a related field.

A Registered Professional Archeologist (RPA) certification is a plus.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing small-to-mid-size projects, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior staff.

The duties and responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting archaeological surveys, excavations, and developing treatment and mitigation plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations such as CEQA/NEPA, Section 106, AB 52, and SB 18.
  • Coordinating project tasks to meet cost and schedule objectives and ensuring project performance meets client and company objectives.
  • Overseeing project tasks and coordinating with clients, regulators, team members, and other stakeholders.
