Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Oncology Educator to join our team at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana. This is a full-time position with a salary range of $36.35 - $54.53 per hour.

About the Role:

  • Provide clinical expertise and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals in the medical oncology department.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized education plans to promote positive learning environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure adherence to health education standards.
  • Act as a resource person for healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support on industry education standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current/valid Registered Nurse license from the state licensing board required.
  • Three years relevant nursing experience and two years required.
  • Preferred qualifications include Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification and previous formal education activities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy.
