At Reworld, we're committed to delivering innovative sustainable waste solutions that help our customers achieve carbon-negative outcomes. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing various types of power plant equipment.

  • You will work safely to perform maintenance related to boilers and its associated electrical and control equipment, including the repair and operation of field controllers, instrumentation, motor control centers, and other power plant electrical equipment ranging from 120V to 13.8kv.
  • This position is located in Lorton, VA.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and testing of low, medium, and high-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, motor starters, and power transformers.
  • Perform maintenance of higher voltage switchyard equipment and steam turbine-driven generators.
  • Troubleshoot, assess, inspect, adjust, and make repairs as needed to the Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) and all facility flow, pressure, temperature, and level instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot, assess, inspect, and adjust, and make repairs, as needed to the Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and historian devices.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks, which include routine calibration, thermography, and ultrasonic testing.
Physical Demands of the Role:
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
  • Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
  • Consistently work in various weather conditions.
