As an Activities Therapist, you will play a vital role in our team, working with patients to facilitate positive changes in their basic functional ability, achieve improved independent functioning, and make their hospital experience positive and growth-oriented.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and document patients' responses to treatment
  • Plan, organize, and conduct therapy sessions on an individual and group basis
  • Evaluate patients' progress and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and internship in a related field
  • Experience working with patients with mental illness and chemical dependency
  • Knowledge of mental illness disorders and ability to provide therapeutic interventions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with patients across the lifespan (pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric)
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Registered Art Therapist (ATR), Certified Music Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
