Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Med Surg Overflow team at Mission Hospital. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Obtain and record patient information, including vital signs, height and weight, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, intake and output, and other relevant data.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as eating and drinking, bathing, shaving, oral care, grooming, and elimination.
  • Transfer patients to and from other units, departments, or entities, and assist with discharges.
  • Collect and process specimens for diagnostic or waived tests, ensuring accuracy and timely transfer.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices to enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, and more.
Requirements
  • Current listing with Nurse Aide Registry as a Nurse Aide I.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Preferred experience in an acute care setting.
