Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SiC Epi Process Engineer to join our team at Coherent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of SiC epitaxy processes, working closely with our SiC Epi Director to coordinate program activities and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement SiC epitaxy processes to improve layer uniformity and defectivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, schedule, and conduct programs
  • Work with external vendors to identify solutions for timely product requirements
  • Lead and direct engineers and technicians as needed
  • Develop and maintain schedules and ensure they are up-to-date with correct assumptions, dependencies, and constraints
Requirements
  • PhD degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering
  • At least 10 years of experience in related fields, with at least 5 years of experience in SiC epitaxy, process, equipment, and characterization
  • Strong technical knowledge of SiC epitaxy and growth reactors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-organizational, cross-cultural, global team environment
