This position requires a strong leader who can develop and manage associate veterinarians to ensure the delivery of high-quality medical care and outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop associate veterinarians to deliver high-quality medical care and outstanding client service.
- Partner with the Director of Veterinary Quality to drive a successful and growing doctor team through recruiting, gathering referrals, and leading onboarding and training of new associate and locum veterinarians.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce turnover risk and provide consistent support at the hospital level to drive doctor engagement and retention.
- Ensure hospital operations meet all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including compliance with controlled substance management and radiation safety.
- Actively participate in local, state, and national veterinary organizations to cultivate relationships within the veterinary profession and promote Banfield's brand reputation.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required.
- Veterinary license in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board.
- 3 years experience in small animal medicine and surgery practice.
