About the Role

As a Staff Data Scientist, you'll collaborate with product teams to design and deploy AI solutions using large language models (LLMs). You'll focus on production environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and building LLM-based systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Fine-tuning and optimizing these systems for production, prioritizing performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies, adopting best practices to drive innovation.
  • Evaluating model performance, including testing and bias assessment, to ensure the ethical deployment of AI systems.
  • Mentoring and guiding developers across functions, sharing expertise in AI/ML techniques, model development, and deployment best practices.

  • Develop and deploy AI-driven models that drive critical business capabilities.
  • Provide thought leadership on AI/ML best practices and innovation.
  • Partner with feature teams to implement AI capabilities aligned with joint business goals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • At least 7 years of experience applying ML techniques to solve business problems.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with the full model development lifecycle, including ML frameworks like sklearn and PyTorch, and Generative AI capabilities like GPT-4.
  • Proficiency in Python and proven ability to deploy AI/ML solutions in production environments.
  • Expertise in model evaluation and optimization, including experience evaluating performance, scalability, and reliability of AI models.
  • Ability to lead complex AI projects from ideation to deployment, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive total rewards package, including a salary range of $179,100 - $218,550 and benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, employer-sponsored 401(k) match, paid time off, parental leave, and professional development reimbursement.
