Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Support Youth: Provide guidance and oversight to residents in a safe and nurturing environment, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention: Identify and address potential crises, utilizing effective communication and de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety of all individuals involved.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident interactions, incidents, and progress, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Transportation and Accompaniment: Safely transport residents to recreational activities and other outings, as assigned.
- Training and Professional Development: Participate in regular training sessions and supervision meetings to enhance skills and knowledge, as required by state regulations.
- Facility Maintenance: Assist with the upkeep of the shelter facility and grounds, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
- Confidentiality and Boundaries: Maintain the confidentiality of resident information and adhere to agency policies regarding boundaries and professional conduct.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus one year of experience in human services, preferably working with youth.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
