POSITION SUMMARY:

The Facilities Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations within the organization, ensuring that all equipment and systems are functioning optimally to support production goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core Duties Include: Qualified candidates must demonstrate the capability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to execute the following responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to enhance and maintain effective systems that guarantee all production machinery operates at peak efficiency while minimizing costs.
  • Prioritize, organize, and schedule maintenance tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Supervise the maintenance staff, fostering accountability, communication, and positive employee relations.
  • Assist production lines in achieving critical performance metrics (e.g., square footage per hour, quality standards, cost management, downtime reduction, and waste minimization).
  • Promote workplace safety and environmental compliance through established protocols and initiatives (e.g., safety audits, corrective actions, incident investigations, ergonomic assessments, and training).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including Lock Out/Tag Out, Hot Work, Elevated Work, and Confined Space protocols.
  • Identify and implement process enhancements to boost team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned based on operational needs.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
  • This position oversees maintenance personnel.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimal travel is expected.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance is required.
  • Prior supervisory experience is essential.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience in planning and scheduling maintenance activities is necessary.
  • Ability to effectively share knowledge across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with various information systems are required.
  • Understanding of effective maintenance systems and their implementation is crucial.
  • Willingness to work across multiple shifts, including potential weekend shifts.
  • Strong aptitude in PLC and industrial electrical systems is preferred.
