We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Grand Strand Medical Center. As a Pediatric ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents with a wide range of diagnoses, from common childhood diseases to life-threatening illnesses.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, such as ventilators
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care to patients
- Collaborate effectively with the patient, the patient's family/legal guardians and members of the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
- Maintain and review patient records, including posting tests and examination results
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Communicate with and educate parents on day-to-day operations as well as home-care procedures
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required
- PALS within 12 months of hire
- Recent Pediatric or ICU experience preferred
