Type: Full Time
Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a designated patient population. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating personalized patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assign tasks to LPNs, ORTs/CSTs, and Nursing Assistants, ensuring accuracy in their work.
- Administer medications as prescribed and oversee the administration of medications in the sterile field.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including charge mechanisms and information transfer to designated locations.
- Ensure the department is consistently prepared for patient care.
- Adhere to and enforce safety and infection control policies to create a secure environment.
- Identify emergency situations and respond appropriately.
- Conduct daily checks of emergency supplies and equipment.
- May take on scrub and/or circulating roles during surgical procedures.
- Restock rooms as assigned and notify the appropriate personnel regarding supply shortages.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Surgery.
Qualifications:
Must possess a valid Nursing License. Previous experience in the Operating Room is required.
