About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist Non Certified to join our team at McLaren Health Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly disinfected, assembled, and in working order.
  • Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in the operating room.
  • Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase, including preparing patients' skin for surgery and monitoring vital signs.
  • Assist during surgery, performing scrub functions such as passing sterile surgical equipment to surgeons and tracking items used.
  • Ensure operating rooms are clean, sterile, and stocked prior to the next procedure.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as ordering supplies and maintaining logs.
  • Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment and protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste, and other policies and protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an approved on-the-job training curriculum and/or comparable work experience.
  • One month of job-related experience and/or training.
  • BLS certification.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in a medical setting.
