About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Seized Drug Analyst II to join our team at the Maine CDC in Augusta, ME.

This position involves performing complex analytical procedures to determine the presence of suspected controlled substances from evidence submitted by law enforcement.

You will also be responsible for interpreting and evaluating analytical results for reporting purposes, reviewing and evaluating case contents to ensure work is scientifically valid, and preparing written reports and testifying as an expert witness in legal proceedings.

In addition, you will assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing specialized instrumentation, including GC/MS, FTIR, and LC-MS/MS.
