About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team on a 13-week travel assignment in Philip, South Dakota.

Job Description:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as an Acute Occupational Therapist with one of our top clients. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing personalized treatment plans to promote independence and functional ability.
  • Conduct therapy sessions, using a range of techniques and modalities to address patients' specific challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal results.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between therapies.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in recovery and rehabilitation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in South Dakota (or ability to obtain).
  • 1-3 years of experience in acute care settings, preferably in Occupational Therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
