Job Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and alert Armed Security Officer to enhance our operations in Orange County, CA. The ideal candidate will be tasked with safeguarding assigned locations, ensuring the protection of our clients' assets, and addressing incidents as they arise. This role demands a high degree of professionalism, meticulous attention to detail, and the capability to manage potentially hazardous situations with composure and effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine patrols of designated areas to identify and prevent any suspicious activities, unauthorized access, or potential security risks.
  • Control and monitor access points to properties, confirming identities, and ensuring that only authorized personnel enter the premises.
  • React promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, adhering to established protocols to de-escalate situations and mitigate risks.
  • Maintain a visible and professional demeanor to deter criminal activities and foster a secure environment for clients and the public.
  • Document detailed incident reports, recording any security breaches, suspicious behaviors, or other pertinent occurrences.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services as necessary.
  • Operate and maintain security equipment, including firearms, in compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Engage in regular training and drills to remain updated on security protocols and emergency response strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit.
  • At least 2 years of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military service.
  • Thorough understanding of security protocols, emergency response procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Outstanding observational and decision-making abilities.
  • Capability to remain composed and professional in high-pressure scenarios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended durations.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
