Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist the on-duty pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing friendly and efficient service, both over the phone and in person.
  • Adhere to all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as the guidelines set forth by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Manage counter service, process prescriptions, and verify patient information accurately.
  • Handle sales transactions, including cash, credit, or debit payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all third-party transactions.
  • Offer guidance and information regarding over-the-counter medications and health products.
  • Respond to phone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Take refill requests from patients over the phone and communicate with healthcare providers as necessary.
  • Process verbal authorizations for prescription refills.
  • Direct patient calls to the pharmacist or other departments as needed.
  • Maintain patient records and prescription labels using our computer system.
  • Prepare medications by counting, pouring, and reconstituting drugs, with verification from the pharmacist.
  • Label and package completed prescriptions for customer pickup.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, while being at least 18 years of age.
