About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Service a Book of Business: Directly service a book of business under the supervision of an Underwriter, gaining hands-on experience in underwriting and risk management.
  • Log Applications and Process Policies: Log applications, prepare binders, and process policies and endorsements with precision and attention to detail.
  • Bind Risk and Process Technical Data: Bind risk, post the invoice, and process technical data with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Screen Renewal Applications and Prepare Quotes: Screen renewal applications, prepare quotes for Underwriter approval, and ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Assist with New Business Development: Assist in the development of new business opportunities, working closely with Underwriters and other stakeholders.
  • Manage Relationships with Retail Agents: Build and maintain strong relationships with retail agents, ensuring excellent customer service and timely communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: Possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Insurance Experience: Have experience in underwriting and/or brokerage support, with a preference for excess and surplus lines.
  • Sales and Marketing Experience: Possess sales and marketing experience, with a strong understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Technical Skills: Be technologically savvy and data-driven, with a strong understanding of insurance software and systems.
Compensation Package

Burns & Wilcox offers a competitive compensation package, including:
