Nurse Oncologist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Oncologist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with various types of cancer, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, while closely monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans accordingly.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families, addressing concerns and answering questions related to cancer treatment and management.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, medical history, and treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher required; oncology experience preferred.
• Current Texas State RN License and CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Oncology Clinical Nurse Certification (ONCTM) or Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification a plus.

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a fast-paced hospital setting, often during evening and night shifts. You must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and able to adapt to changing situations quickly.

Salary:
