About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian to join our Community Medicine team in Los Angeles. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality veterinary care to animals in need, working closely with our experienced veterinarians, licensed technicians, and assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate, quality preventive and basic care to patients, overseeing all aspects of veterinary care during a clinic day.
  • Perform pre-surgery physical examinations on all surgical candidates.
  • Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgical procedures.
  • Diagnose and treat post-surgical medical complications.
  • Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care, our staff, and for our clients.
  • Triage and refer cases that do not fall within our parameters of care as appropriate.
  • Perform humane euthanasia in accordance with ASPCA policy and CM protocols.
Client Service
  • Communicate with all clients in a non-judgmental, effective, and professional manner.
  • Counsel owners about end-of-life and other sensitive medical concerns.
  • Provide discharge instructions for patients and oversee the dispensing of medications.
Requirements
  • Current California State Veterinary License.
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (Spanish, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Cantonese, etc.) strongly preferred.
