Ultrasound Technologist Job Description

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at UCHealth Greeley Hospital in Greeley, Colorado.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to provide top-notch patient care and perform various ultrasound procedures. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provides direct patient care and performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Reviews patient history, physician's orders, and schedules exams, educating patients on procedures and equipment as needed.
  • Monitors patient condition, reports/responds to changes in status, and selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards, performs quality control procedures on equipment, and troubleshoots/resolves equipment malfunctions.
  • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with imaging quality.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • State licensure if required by law.
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
