We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Assistant Director, Financial Aid. This role will play a critical part in supporting the Office of Financial Assistance in stewarding the University's financial aid resources.
Key Responsibilities- Review and advise on financial aid packages for prospective and returning students, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Present financial aid information to students, parents, and educational organizations, promoting the University's financial aid programs and services.
- Administer financial aid software, including PowerFAIDS, to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial aid awards.
- Collaborate with the Director of Financial Aid to develop and implement financial aid policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and educational organizations, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Participate in the development and implementation of financial aid programs, including the Federal Work-Study (FWS) program.
- Maintain knowledge of national trends in higher education, particularly in the areas of financial aid and enrollment management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of financial aid experience or experience within higher education.
- Proven experience with financial aid software, including PowerFAIDS.
- Knowledge of policies, regulations, and practices for awarding financial aid.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Experience with the PowerFAIDS Financial Aid system.
- Knowledge of Title IV regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
