Visionary Newscast Director

Hearst Television is seeking a seasoned Newscast Director to oversee the technical aspects of live productions, collaborating with producers, technical directors, audio operators, studios, and engineering teams. As a key member of our operations team, you will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:- Direct Live Newscasts: Ensure seamless execution of broadcasts, working closely with the production crew to deliver high-quality content.
- Creative Input: Contribute to the development of newscasts, providing expertise and guidance to enhance the overall viewing experience.
- Technical Excellence: Maintain the highest standards for technical execution, resolving issues and adapting to unexpected challenges during live broadcasts.
- Websites and Social Media: Post newscasts on our website and manage social media presence to engage with our audience.
- Experience: At least 2+ years directing and technical directing newscasts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in production switchers, video servers, audio equipment, MOS, computer networks, ENPS, and video playback systems.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to resolve complex technical issues and work under pressure during live broadcasts.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and variable shifts.

Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, emotional wellness support, paid time off, paid parental leave, and additional perks.
