Key Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash, credit, and debit transactions using the point of sale (POS) system.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to inquiries, and provide assistance when necessary to ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
- Maintain Checkout Area: Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., bags, receipt paper).
- Handle Returns and Exchanges: Process returns and exchanges in accordance with store policies.
- Assist with Bagging: Assist customers in bagging items, ensuring items are handled properly to avoid damage.
- Promote Store Offers: Inform customers about promotions, loyalty programs, or special discounts when applicable.
- Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints or direct them to the appropriate manager for resolution.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, basic math and computer literacy, ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly, attention to detail and ability to multitask, problem-solving skills for handling customer inquiries and issues.
