About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist Supervisor to join our team at Alcon. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing microbiological testing and control strategies to ensure the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement microbiological testing and control strategies to ensure product quality and safety
  • Lead and mentor a team of laboratory associates to develop and increase their expertise in microbiology
  • Provide technical advice and support to other departments within the facility
  • Interpret microbiology results and resolve technical and operational problems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards
  • Participate in the hiring process and provide work direction/supervision for direct reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology or a related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a sterile medical device manufacturing company or pharmaceutical environment
  • Strong understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts in microbiology
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
