Job Title: Tax Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Associate to join our team at Intuit. As a Tax Associate, you will play a critical role in providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to our customers.

About the Role

This is a virtual, customer-facing role that requires strong communication and technical skills. You will be working with our state-of-the-art video communications software to interact with customers and provide them with tax advice, full-service business return preparation, and product/software inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations
  • Provide expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer to customers
  • Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve customer tax advice and tax return preparation
  • Document customer interactions
  • Work continuously toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals
Requirements
  • Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of personal Tax Preparation experience
  • Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season
  • Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred
  • Experience preparing Business Tax returns for service industry customers is strongly preferred
  • Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
  • Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN)
  • Working knowledge of Circular 230
  • Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software
  • Strong customer service skills – ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, research skills, and determination
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) a dedicated hardwired internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria and a quiet location in which to work
  • Must reside in the United States
