We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Sourcing Lead for Direct Materials and Coatings to join our team at Novelis. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing and securing the supply chain of direct materials for our European plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and secure supply chain of direct materials for European plant operations without interruption, with a special focus on coatings as critical materials.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, external and internal stakeholders, and business partners.
- Monitor and analyze market developments to develop procurement and negotiation strategies for Novelis.
- Deliver lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) through definition and execution of pipeline and value savings.
- Work effectively across functions to execute operational and process optimization in collaboration with external and internal business partners, customers, and suppliers.
- Deliver excellence in procurement commercial execution, ensuring adherence to procurement and company policies.
- Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies for direct materials and coatings categories based on rigorous analysis of spend value.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar.
- 3-5 years of sourcing experience in manufacturing, coatings knowledge, or manufacturing experience with coatings and paint.
- High energy, openness, and willingness to learn in a fast-changing business and market environment.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to collect and analyze data.
- Problem-solving ability, collect all necessary information, organize a team to work on and solve problems.
- Initial management skills to manage internal and external relationship stakeholders, business partners, and team members.
- German, English are necessary, Italian, and French are a plus.
