Job Summary:

As a Controls Engineer at Brunswick Corporation, you will play a crucial role in supporting automation and data control processes for our manufacturing operations. This position requires a strong understanding of industrial network infrastructures, PLC programming, and ability to read and modify controls prints using AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot automation and controls issues in manufacturing

Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance procedures

Participate in internal teams to facilitate the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of factory automation

Influence and support the design and implementation of factory automation equipment

Document and write maintenance SOPs to perform repair and diagnostic functions

Facilitate the definition and execution of design verifications and manufacturing control plans

Engineer controls and software solutions for manufacturing work cells

Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts

Leverage analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

4 or more years of experience in controls engineering

Competent in programming PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley

Understanding of industrial network infrastructures, i.e. Ethernet

Ability to read and understand controls prints and modify prints using AutoCAD

General knowledge of tooling and equipment associated with a manufacturing environment

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact in a team environment with other employees and groups

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to technologies such as RFID, vision systems, and robots

Working Conditions:

This role will require a mix of office and production floor work, with occasional exposure to machine shop manufacturing settings. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, typing, and stooping. Occasional light to medium lifting up to 20lbs may be required.
