Pharmacy Technician Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing, including counting, labeling, and packaging medications
  • Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and potential interactions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and allergy information
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment by communicating effectively with colleagues and patients
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods
